We called Scott while on the ferry to Petersburg. He got us on his trip out to the Le Conte glacier. That morning was very foggy. He was sure to take the time to get out to the glacier so the fog could clear and we could see. What a boat ride out! Spent time at the glacier and waterfall,... More

This is a must do for any tour of the AK Rainforest area. The LeConte Glacier is phenomenal, and Scott from Tongass Kayak is one of the best outfitters we have ever traveled with. The total seclusion offered by this trip, really lets you start to grasp the immensity of Glacier. His years of experience in the area add a... More

I work at a school in Seattle and we take students on outdoor trips all over the country and the world. Through my trip planning, I've worked with many different guides and outfitters. Most of them have been excellent but Scott is unparalleled in his service, helpfulness, experience, and the overall trip that he helps provide. I've worked with him... More

My son and I had a fantastic SE Alaska adventure thanks to Scott! His prompt reply to logistical questions before we arrived and his attention to punctuality, safety, and important details throughout the trip were much appreciated. He has a long history with the area and a passion for sharing his vast knowledge with a positive and humorous spirit; he... More

We had the most unforgettable day. We viewed Humpback whales up close and so many of them, we even saw them bubble feeding, wow! what a sight. Also the most amazing close views of Orca, Steller Sea Lion, Harbor Seal, Sea Otter ,and Dall's Porpoise The boat was warm and had heaps of big glass windows, and outdoor viewing front... More

Our guide Scott was terrific! He was very conscientious to make sure that we saw whales up close and talked about how to find them. His boat was so comfortable and warm with viewing opportunities both from bow and stern. VERY CLEAN. He pointed out eagles nests, as well as the sea lions that make their homes on the buoys.... This trip to the LeConte Glacier fjord was breathtaking. Scott is an experienced and knowledgeable guide so we learned a lot about the nature around us. He's also a nice guy to be around and everyone in town spoke highly of him. His gear was top-notch from his powerful aluminum boat with comfy, warm cabin with privately situated head (toilet)... Scott is an excellent guide, very professional, safety conscious, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. His boat and the kayaks were clean, properly outfitted, and performed as they should. We had a great time observing the glacier and kayaking among the icebergs. Definitely worthwhile.

My family and I were fortunate enough to enjoy the Tongass Kayak Adventure with Scott over Labor Day weekend. While it sounded fun from the start, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. We were immediately in awe of the massive glaciers surrounding us and the adventure had only just begun. Needless to say there was a lot of laughter and... More

Touring the Fjord, paddling among the ice bergs and having a seal pop up in front of the kayak was an amazing experience. Scott is a wonderful guide one of the best we have had. It was a surreal experience. It was nice to have a small group. The paddling was easy going following the shoreline mostly. We paddled double... More
