Nice history information. Lots of maps for Alaska, including hiking and biking trails. Knowledgable staff and some nice displays. Fun gift shop. This is end of the season for gardens, heard they are amazing variety.

We went from having a great breakfast at the noisy goose to the visitor center and learn about the history of the town of Palmer and nice young lady answered all her questions boight a beautiful calendar for about $12 which had excellent pictures beautiful...More

The garden area is open to everyone, but I do not know if they do organized tours of it.

The cosmetology industry is great! It's not my field but I know many places are hard to get into because everyone is so busy. I don't think you'd have to worry about finding work.
