The staff knows the community inside and out. They can get you connected to a B&B, fishing charter or a vacation attraction sure to provide a great memory. History is on display in the small museum and the facility can provide a great space for community meetings. Lots of parking and in summer months a fantastic Saturday market on the... More

We didn't know much about the Kenai Peninsula before we came, so stopped in to learn more. The facility is very well done and obviously serves the community (conference rooms, etc) as well. Great historical perspective of how the community was settled. TIP: go look at the "blob" - the big bunch of trash that was finally hooked and recovered... More

During the summer months the Visitor Center showcases locals artists, it's amazing and if you get a chance, check it out!

You'll be glad you stopped in as the information available on local attractions and places to stay are plentiful. The staff are helpful and down to earth. It makes sense to get free advice from the people who live here. Also, people who are not profiting by pointing you to a particular attraction even though it isn't right for you.... More

The folks at the Visitor & Cultural Center were very helpful. They suggested that we take a 'walk about' around the town to see the historic buildings & to be sure to come back on Saturday for the Farmer's Market (which we did.)

We stopped here before taking a walk through the 'old town'. We picked up some brochures and looked at the displays and artifacts. Worth a short visit.

It's not huge by any stretch of the imagination, but it is free and had some very interesting history and displays. Clean and well maintained.

We really appreciated the staff working there, smiling and enthusiast when we arrived. They gave us some good pieces of advice of where to go. In contrast with this ghostly town, this visitor centre is a wonder

Nice collection of local history, artifacts, art and taxidermy. Small gift shop and a good collection of local books, some written by local writers. Very new and modern. Built in 1991 to celebrate the BiCentenial of the city of Kenai as a Russian Ametican village.

Lots of information both from the brochure and the staff. They are super nice and informative. The museum is cool to see what the area offers historically and in the now. With large models and artifacts. Not a huge museum but large enough to show what they had in mind too! Good place to do a quick tour of and... More
