It was closed, so we only got an outside look, however it kind of looks Russian, based on other Russian Orthodox cathedrals we have seen in other countries.

Still active with services. Small church but nicely adorned inside. Services were underway when we visited. Maybe 10 people in the congregation. If I recall not built by the Russians.

It was early in the spring so we were given a personal tour of this lovely small Russian orthodox church and its history. Very beautiful inside.

Short uphill walk from waterfront. Not much to see, but we were in the neighborhood. Photos capture it well - very small and closed when we visited.

Although there are some Russian icons and artifacts, the place is pretty small and not too impressive. I would opt instead for the larger St. Michael's in Sitka.

So glad I chanced on this beautiful small historic church. So sorry it wasn't open to visit but I could look through the window to take a picture.

Lovely little church with great Alaskan heritage and Russian Orthodox influence in Alaska. Set in lovely residential area with beautiful views. But, all views are beautiful in Juneau.

We were glad we were able to enter, to see the interior. I believe this is the last of the uniquely shaped churches like this. We were glad we got here.

This won't take long, but it's worth stopping in. The church is very old and has beautiful paintings. When we were there, the resident priest was there and chatted with us for almost a half hour about the history of the town, the faith community,...More
