A short wander from the cruise docks to the tramway. This is very easy access to anyone. Views when the sun is our are terrific. Facilities at the top are very good and for those more mobile the walks are for very part time athletes....More

What a great ride to the top....if you want a view of Junea don't miss this. Get there early though because the lines are very long in the afternoon. Great views and I hope to do it again someday.

This was fantastic, we went up the steepest tram in North America, and had an amazing veiw. There is more to it than the ride up though, there is a live bald eagle, and a visitors center. The eagle is there because it was shot...More

Conveniently located near the cruise ship docks, this was a nice activity we could do on our own. There were pretty views from up top and a nice view of the channel coming into Juneau. There was an informative show (part live, part movie) that...More

Highly recommend! Beautiful sights from above and great restaurant at top. You can buy tickets right after you get off cruise ship. Easy to walk on and get up to the top.

It was affordable and the views were amazing, but it was crowded. We walked there from our Cruise ship's berth and decided "on the spur of the moment" to ride the Tram before our scheduled Cruise Expedition started. It turned out to be a long...More

Loved this little excursion. The view is beyond beautiful. You get to the top and it's spectacular. There is a gift shop but we didn't have time to explore since we had another excursion to go to. I highly recommend this excursion.

$33. USD. Pricey and while you can see up and down the waterway difficult to get a clear shot (picture taking) of the waterway from the observation platforms without the trams structure in the way. Took us 30 minutes to get a tram to the...More

Our cruise ship landed directly across from the Tram. After going to the Mendenhall Glacier we took the ride up and back on the tramway. Stunning views and the trails at the top were also spectacular. Highly recommend taking the time while you are there.

It is a short ride and not worth the 33.00 for one ride! You can ride all day. If you get there and go up to take pictures and visit the Raptor Center and nature center then take a short hike, then come back later...More

No reservation. Just walk up and buy a ticket. You can see the tram entrance as your ship pulls in. I walked off my boat and was at the ticket office in 5 minutes. Based upon your time window, you could hike back into town... More

The tram operates from morning to evening. Ride up is just a few minutes--down the same. Not sure of exact operating hours--I was told I could come and go and take multiple rides up on one ticket.
