We were there at the tail-end of the season and had small attendance but the cast performed wonderfully. Talented youth participating along with other family members in stories from their tribes. Great insight into their culture.

This is a show with several members of the local tribe doing some tribal dancing. They also discuss the local legend of their origin. They provide interesting information but there is not really much dancing and it is not a professional stage show. If you are interested in the stories and culture of these local tribes you will enjoy it... More

I liked the whole idea of making use of the youth of Hoonah to play a big part in this performance. They are beautiful, talented young people showcasing their culture with pride. They interact with the audience and my son of 4 really enjoyed it very much even though I am sure he did not understand a word that was... More

This was part of a cruise excursion. We were pleasantly surprised at the length and quality of the show. When you enter the theater you are given a card which represents the tribal group you belong to.......this is so you know when it is your turn to interact with the show. Some of the performers were high school age and... More

We did the rain forest tram and tribal dance as our excursion at Icy Straits Point. So much of the old culture is getting lost these days. It was refreshing to see the band keeping it going. There were some of the high school students involved in the performance and they tried very hard. There was a 17 year old... More

Went to the culture show of the Tlingit people it was interesting if a bit amateurish at times. Tried to involve the audience which was good fun at times. However like teenage boys( there were a couple in the group) the world over they mumble and they were difficult to understand at times . Overall though a good show.

The school children put on the most wonderful show and we were able to listen to them speak their native language, very talented young people, it is great to see maintain the tribal ways, educational!

My family purchased the tram and tribal dance excursion based on the great reviews listed on many websites. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the time or money spent to watch the dance. A few high schoolers from the area played the main roles in the show. They did a good job, but could use more training in being professional in their... More
