Second visit and I still love the Spit. Four years ago we stayed at the”Lands End”, but this year we stayed in an RV at “Heritage RV Park”. Both good experiences. There are plenty of shops to visit by foot along the spit. There is...More

Even if you are not shopping for souvenirs you have to visit the spit. Fish coming in off of boats, the Salty Dog saloon and views of Kechamak bay make it all a mist see.

Spent two days on the spit. Lots of shops and restaurants. And the salty dog bar. Many fishing charters to choose from. We made reservations at North country charters. Who were awesome! Enjoyed going down on the docks to see boats and halibut/salmon that were...More

I found the spit to be a little bit unorganized. And very expensive. It is a must-see. I like the town of Homer better. Better restaurants. Better gift shops.

To truly experience Homer, you need to spend a night camping on the Spit. The Spit offers plenty for everyone. You can peruse the local shops and restaurants. You can also spend time on the docks and tidepooling.

We loved driving down to Homer. Great spot to look out over. Eagles everywhere. When in Homer stop at Pattie's and order the Halibut. Best fish I ever had in my 59 years!

Great place visit. Shops, food, tide pools and great views. We chartered a boat and use a water taxi out of the spit.

Touristy but still interesting. Lots of tours leaving for nearby locations as well as flight-seeing and fishing expeditions. Some neat restaurants and lots of beach to watch for otters, eagles, etc. that may wonder by.

It’s a busy crowded place full of tourists and with busy seafarers. Fun to look at the boats in the harbor and walk along the beach. Read the seafarers sad memorial and have a grog at the salty dawg saloon.
