We could have spent longer here listening to the recorded stories from pioneers and fishermen. Children would enjoy this interactive museum. A range of birds and animals on display. Great gift shop.

Small but very well done. Need at least an hour. well worth it. Especially the Kilcher intro long before the TV show was even thought of.

This is a gem. They have home movies from when the Kilteers were children. I watch there show as Alaskan Homesteaders. The Museum also has a cabin with interpretive narration. It's a good way to get a feel for how modern day pioneers live and did live.

Enjoyed the homestead cabin and then the museum itself. The exhibits were informative and interesting, especially the Exxon Valdez exhibit which reminds us all of the tragedy of the oil spill and the amazing courage and faith of the people who helped clean up the spill. I enjoyed some of the personal stories from people and the artwork was top... More
