Stayed away from this even though daughter is a horseback rider as were told they don't care for horses properly, and overall is a very sad experience.

We were very keen to go horse riding during our stay in September but the '1' guy that ran it was sick! Surely there is more than 1 person that can lead a few horses. We did happen to drive past the sign and couldn't find the place anyway. Really disappointed.

The horses are in terrible condition, had I known earlier that they left the totally neglected white horse to die a slow death I would not have gone on this trek at all. There oldest horse there now is called Brownie, she has a lame leg and I fear they will leave her to die like the last one. The... More

The horses are not looked after and just ponies. Was told that they roll, buck, bite etc.. no wonder, they are so unhappy. Don't support this attraction at all!!

Read below horse left to die a long slow painfull death at the hands of aroa. If you wrote a positive review you must be blind or have a low expectation of how to care for a horse even the photos of the happy treckers show you were to big for the ponies. We watched in horror from the beach... More

On my holiday in Rarotonga I went to Aroa horse riding to check out the horses there. I am 13 have a horse of my own, am an experienced rider and was keen for a ride. I was appalled to what I found. In result of the day a horse had to be put to sleep. I found a paddock... More

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! The horses had been well cared for and we arrived as they were saddling them up, healthy looking horses. The guides were funny and knowledgeable and we had a brilliant time. He also took my camera for me and took heaps of photo's for us! (Hes a pretty good photographer!) Loved the swim through the water it... More

Guide was fantastic, horses went really well and it was a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend this to anyone and we had another group of friends that did it in the afternoon.

Highly Recommended! We had a blast on our Trek . . . i must say i love Horses and been on a few treks over my time - this one would have to be the best. Our guide was really friendly, great local knowledge of the island and very helpful. Took horses along the beach and into the sea (OMG)... More

We were not that keen on going horse riding but my 18 & 21 year old daughters wanted us to go with them. We were expecting to go up to Wigmores Waterfall and then down to the sea, but didn't bother to ask first. We ended up only riding down to, and along, the beach and back to base. Apparently... More
