My wife and I flew over the Brooks Range during our optional excursion with Northern Alaska Tour Company as part of our escorted ‘Natural Wonders of Alaska’ tour with Titan Travel. We were based for 3 nights on a room only basis at the friendly and comfortable Bridgewater Hotel, Fairbanks, located on the banks of the Chena River. We decided to... More

Visited area in the winter. The scenery was fabulous. The road wasn't dangerous to drive as long as you were cautious and didn't speed. There are turnouts where you can stop and take pictures

We were able to travel to The Brooks Range during our trip to Alaska, My grandson will always remember it is 60 miles from Fairbanks to the Yukon River (which we walked on in the winter) then 60 miles to the Arctic Circle and then 60 miles to Coldfoot. A little rough roads but a trip worth making

Unique landscape with changing weather. The tundra was like burning with the redish colour! So wild and remote, like another planet!

We stayed over in Coldfoot camp, then went even further north on this van tour, just my husband and myself with the guide. He was not as seasoned as the other guides we had on this trip, but he was courteous, friendly and still helpful. The scenery spoke for itself. We saw mouse with babies, and some other small animal... More

We drove the Dalton Hwy as far as Galbraith Camp grounds. Not sure why the heading says Dawson Hwy??? The scenery is spectacular along the Dalton Hwy and the weather was incredible. Blue skies until we reached the Atigun Pass where we had blue skies and snow! There was construction at the base of Atigun Pass going north but the... More

How would anyone not find this remote range not incredibly beautiful. My journey south thru the range was cloud shrouded and raining but it was still beautiful

We came on a tour and I recommend that to all but the most seasoned of outdoorsmen. The roads are treacherous even at the end of March. There are pit toilets as the only facilities and we had to turn back due to Avalanche risk at the Antigun Pass.
