Beautiful Views!
Jul 2021
My husband and I recently hiked one of the trails from the Belvedere Lookout! We thought we were doing the 30 minute hike, but ended up doing the 3 hour path so make sure to watch the signs. It ended up being totally worth it - the views were stunning! To get there, we just rented a moped for the day. That in itself was also fun!

Stunning views - a must see on the island
Jul 2021
Beautiful views! Belvedere is a stop on many tours, or if you have a car it's easy to drive up to the parking lot lookout and is something everyone should do when in Moorea. Beautiful views, and you can hike up the mountain even higher with a trail leaving right from the parking lot.

Good viewpoint but skip the hikes
Jul 2021
Lookout had a cool view but would skip the hikes in the area. Hikes were mostly trekking through the forest with very little payoff on the views

Beautiful views
Jun 2021
Beautiful lookout and I had the place to myself for 2 hours! The trail signs were all in French and I wasn't confident in knowing the distances or difficulties or whether a tail was a loop or not, so I just hiked for a ways and turned around and came back the same way I came from. Super windy, narrow road but well-paved. I took the turns slow and was glad I never came across another car to have to share the road with.

Best Hike!
Jan 2021
What a fantastic hike! Not too challenging, perfect length for us, about 3 hours total. Last 15 minutes more up hill but nothing too challenging! The views were amazing!!! The rainforest plants, trees and flowers were spectacular the entire walk. Loved the bamboo forest and the small waterfalls along the way!

ATV Mo’orea

Took a tour with ATV mo’orea and spent the morning driving and sight seeing. Worth the money with splitting a quad between 2 of us.

Pretty mountain / sea view
Oct 2020
It’s a very easy drive to the overlook – it’s not at the top of the mountain. It’s 100% paved road with a few narrow spots but all were passable for two vehicles. They’re also in the process of widening it, so it can only get better for future visitors.
It’s a nice vantage point to see the mountains and valleys with the added bonus of fresh coconut water at the top.

Gorgeous viewpoint
Oct 2020
One of the main sites to see in Moorea - an absolutely beautiful viewpoint where you can see both bays on either side of the mountain on the north side of the island. Even on a cloudy day, it's quite beautiful but of course it will be a better view on a sunny day! A lot of island tours stop here for a few minutes to take in the view, but you can also stay for a longer time and do several different hikes from here. Be sure to take a photo of the map (the backside shows the walking trails) and hire a guide if you're not an experienced hiker. The trails can be a bit confusing sometimes. Three coconuts is a steep climb at the end but absolutely worth it for the panoramic views when you eventually get to the top! Hiking here is slippery so wear good shoes and remember your bug spray - so many mosquitoes in the jungle. But again, absolutely worth it for the views! And you can buy a coconut from the vendor in the parking lot to rehydrate at the end.

Need a car or electric bike
Oct 2020 • Couples
We were dropped by beach by a cab, and we walked through the most beautiful fertile valley. Lush w cows and even little crabs along the sides..views of the mountains.. but ca s on this road are crazy.. construction workers , maybe people who live up here... we have found island drivers to be crazy . They don’t slow down so move over and stay alert. It’s a long gradual
Climb up a paved road through thick jungle. Good work out . We didn’t make it all the way to the top because we had a set time to meet the cab back at the beach.. which was a drag. We set out a bit too late and didn’t have a good sense of where we were going. The lower cooks trail may have been better. Concierge should’ve been better to explain time frames and goals for this but good work out and beautiful and we were happy to leave the resort and try some allow 3 hours( 1.5 up to top) ..if on foot but I think the electric bike would be fun. We saw a group of atvs also
Botanical gardens and magic mountain hikes( $2 o person for Thai one) also things to try near hilton that are shorter and offer great views.
