Very easy to get to and take in the amazing views of the bays.

We used our buggy rental to drive up the road. Very easy to do.

A lovely paved drive up the hill to a generous parking area. Good maps and trail markings that have clearly worn through the years, but impressive still for a small island. We hiked for about an hour. Surprisingly few mosquitos inside the forest despite small streams and waterfalls.

This is a nice lookout. It looks just like the pictures. That’s about it, nothing special. Spend your time out on the water instead!

Winding road up the mountain leads to a good view over Cook’s Bay and Opunohu Bay. Usually plenty of parking space (visited in May) and lots of chickens. Great place to start the hikes that is located in the area.

Beautiful place! It's a shame that people leave trash everywhere. Tahiti is beautiful but not enough care is being take to keep it beautiful.

Well worth doing and family friendly! Watch for forks in the trail - stay right. Starts in lookout parking lot then through jungly growth which eventually gives way to a clearer path that can't be missed. Bring your camera and water on a hot day.

This is 1 of the excursions not to be missed.
You can get there by car, by ATV, or by bikes (mountain bikes).
I went there with an ATV group and returned by rental car (Moorea Fun Roadster).
Beautiful pictures ops and hiking trails. If you like to hike there are several choices. There is a map at the parking lot, take a good look at it (trails are not well marked). You see little creek, bamboo groves, tall tropical trees yet very humid.

Quick 15 minute visit on a clear day is all you need to take in the view. There is hiking through the forest , but not in flip-flops. A 50cc moped carrying 2 adults will get you there. I wish the government and people (& tour companies that take everyone there) maintained the viewpoint better.

Crazy steep winding road up the hillside, does not go to the top. Great view and hiking or mountain biking trails to boot from the top or bottom depending on your availability. Not supper friendly to the little ones under 5 years old. You can see the bays and lots of wildlife and veggies along with Ruins along the way. We found shrimp and fish in the creek on the way up. Lots of wild jungle chickens and a free other birds

This may be the most photographed feature on the island, and rightly so. Unfortunately, there is no assurance that it won't be cloud covered when you are there. The parking area tends to be crowded with other visitors. The ruins (marae) along the road are definitely worth a stop, as there are many interpretive signs and well-marked paths.
