I never heard of this place but on a 4X4 adventure in Moorea we were taken there. On a clear day, and most are, you can see forever. Tahiti does not allow building above a pretty limited height but the owner of this property built the road and terrace and paid the fines or doing so. Thank you. One of... More

Upon driving up the mountain, we encountered countless innumerable ATVs, cars and tourist buses. The narrow winding road with blind curves made the drive challenging. Once at the top, there was a nice view but only 180 degrees. The rest was obscured by even higher mountains.

We saw this with FranckyFrank Tours and it was awesome! There are two paths to the top, and we chose the easiest one which was just fine even for an elderly lady in our party. What a beautiful view from the top of both Cook's Bay AND Opanahu Bay

We drove to the lookout in our rental car. There are two access roads off the main highway - one leads to an unpaved portion and the other is paved all the way. Near the top, the road is narrower. Despite an overcast day, the view was spectacular

Part of an arranged ATV tour. Beautiful vistas, fresh coconuts at the stop. A must see when visiting Moorea. Can be accessed by vehicles as well as arranged group tours and ATV's.

Great views from up here. There are walking tracks but be prepared to get your feet wet and dirty, if you are wearing open toe footwear! An easy drive up the this viewing point.

Definitely worth renting a car and getting up to the lookout - recommend early morning to beat the crowds, and potentially get in a hike on one of the well-marked trails. We did the 3 Coconuts Pass hike and really enjoyed the view from the top - you can see both the north and the south sides of the island... More

It is a nice place to visit. We rented a car and drove ourselves. A guide is not necessary to get to the view point The scenery is pretty on the drive to the top.

I recently went on a guided 4 hour hike on the 3 coconuts trail from Belvedere lookout. Nothing that I read prior to going on this hike prepared me for this experience. I am 59 years old, relatively fit. Easily walk 5 miles a day, plus 45 minutes of cardio training 5x per week and weight training 3 days per... More

This lookout is a hidden gem on Moorea. We had a rental car but found no signs leading to this site. Be sure to plug into your GPS before leaving your hotel as service is spotty out on the road. The main road is well maintained and easy to maneuver. Another road turned into gravel and dirt before intersecting with... More
