We had already had a great stay in Moorea, but decided to do this near the end as the weather was finally improving, a few days after a major storm. It was really our highlight of an already great trip. From a natural standpoint, it was excellent, the snorkeling was the best we had done, and the ropes made us... More

The lagoonarium is a great spot to spend a snorkeling day. Leave early, before 9:30, as if you arrive before the big groups you'll have a nice bungalow (meaning shadow during the hottest hours) just for you! Bring your own snorkeling stuff if you can, and food/water. They have a fridge to keep your food fresh. Try to do the... More

Safe due to a system of cables to keep you from being swept away by the current. Beautiful variety of fish, coral, rays, sharks and an eel. Wilfred has set up the Motu for sitting in the sun or shade to relax. There is even a meal option you can book in advance. Wonderful!

Our guide Wilfed was great! He took us on a very short boat ride to a small motu. The area had a network of buoys and cables to help you navigate your snorkeling trip. In one area it really helped because the current was a little bit stronger. Definitely have a well fitting mask and fins to enjoy this tour.... More

You are up front and personal with a couple hundred fish and rays. Flippers are not needed and are a pain. You just hang on ropes, float and watch rays, pet rays, feed more fish and types of fish that you never knew existed. You do need water shoes, sandals, or something to protect your feet. I suppose tennis shoes... More

Sadly, the state of the coral in other areas is deteriorated to the extent that snorkeling was not productive. When we were in Moorea 20 years ago, the snorkeling was incredible, the fish were bountiful, and the multi-colored coral was gorgeous. For whatever the reason, this is no longer true in many areas of Moorea. This is one protected area... More

This is by far the best experience on Moorea! Really affordable too! Me and my mum drove there from our villa while the rest of our group went as a tour with their hotel. It cost me and my mum about $50 AUD less than the tour group and the experience was exactly the same! They just had a longer... More

We had a fantastic day at the lagoonarium, despite initially having reservations about the animals. But, they are wild sharks and stingrays that are free to leave the island as they please - they just return because they know there is food (so if you don't agree with feeding them this isn't the place for you), and they clearly have... We had an AMAZING day here. The service is great and Wilfried really takes care of you. He came to pick us up and took us to the Motu. He showed us around and gave us a bungalow to rest from the shade. They have water and coffee available to everyone. And also bathroom and shower. He really took the... More
