Cool museum with a butterfly garden. My favourite part of San Jose was the history part of the museum. If you're into history, check this place out!

I would have liked to spend more than me here but our children were tired. However what I did see was really interesting.

This is a great museum, the butterfly room is a nice touch and all the exhibits were informative and interesting. Almost all of them felt “new” (less than 5 years old). The gardens in the courtyard were also nice. Definitely worth the $9 USD.

Great Pre-Columbian artifacts and history. Especially liked the metates and stone sheets and pottery. Enjoyed seeing the old commander’s living...More

I think it's about USD$9... if you pay with USD and need change back, they give the change back in local currency...You can also pay in local currency but the entrance fee is higher for foreigners than locals...
