This old fortress has been nicely preserved, allowing the visitor to take a walk back through time. Inside you can see everything from jail cells and living quarters, to some of the mysterious stone spheres and a few other archaeological exhibits.

It is a fairly good size museum but small enough to see it all and still enjoy it. The aboriginal section is very impressive. A real must to get to understand Costa Ricas special ways and culture.

As others have said, many of the exhibits have English information as well as Spanish. I don't speak Spanish either but I enjoyed my visit.
