Admire the imposing Poás Volcano from 2.708m (8.884ft) above sea level, and visit a unique coffee plantation and the historic city of Sarchí on this exciting day trip. The tour’s first stop is Poás Volcano National Park, where you will enjoy magnificent views of the Central Valley and the volcano’s enormous crater - one of the biggest in the world! Next, you will visit Doka Estate and its beautiful coffee plantations. Your tour guide will take you through the estate, visiting the plantations and the 96 year old "beneficio" or coffee mill. Having learned how premium coffee beans turn into a fabulous cup of java, you will enjoy a typical Costa Rican lunch.

Booked a tour to see Doka coffee plantation, Poas volcano, and the waterfall gardens. I did this tour with another company in June, and they were great. I wanted to take my Mother on this tour on our last day in Costa Rica because I enjoyed it so much. Should have booked with the company I used before but this... More

Josselin Navarro at the holiday inn in San Jose Costa Rica did a wonderful job setting up a tour of the Doca coffee plantation and the nearby volcano. She help set everything up weeks in advance and smoothed out any problems. Chuck

Spent 1-2 hours at Poas and the gift shops. then on to Doka Coffee, Had an excellent lunch there and did the tour of the estate, Very nice place and the coffee was reasonable $8 for 12.5 oz (better price than most places).... I took the Gray Line tour from San Jose on a weekday and it was excellent, although my tour included the La Paz Waterfall park instead of the Sarchi Arts & Crafts. Poas Volcano and the Doka Coffee plantation were both fun and interesting, but La Paz was the icing on the cake for me. This was a 12-hour tour... More

The volcano's main crater is easily accessible. The second crater requires a steep climb, which coupled with the high altitude, makes it a strenuous workout. Both craters are spectacular and different in their own way. The main crater has some smoke coming out of it while the second crater is filled with water. If you are into coffee, the Doka... More

We were picked up at the hotel early on a Friday morning. We got a great tour of the city as we were among the first picked up for the tour. As we were driving through town we got a short history of the town and Juan Sanatamaria, the guy the airport is named after. We began the long drive... More

Great tour! Worth every cent! ***Advice: Call or email the operator if you book online so you know when your pick up time is. We almost didn't. The number is likely on your voucher. They do speak English if you call. Also, print out your voucher, even if the website says you can use e-voucher. There was confusion about not... More

We did this day tour on Christmas day 2015 and it was great! Although we couldn't see a thing at first when we got to the crater of the Poas volcano, the clouds cleared up within an hour and we could see the crater in all its glory. The coffee plantation tour at Doka was very interesting - just to... More
