This is an enchanting little place and run by the sweetest gals you can imagine. I was completely ignorant of butterflies but am now more informed thanks to the tour. There were several children there and it was great fun watching them interact with the butterflies. I was most charmed by the bowl of 'feeders' by the entry...popsicle sticks with... More

We saw more butterflies in this one spot than ever before! Our guide gave us a very informative explanation of how the butterflies develop from the egg to caterpillar to the pups on to becoming a beautiful butterfly! Then we were left on our own to enjoy the butterflies for as long as we desired!

I have gone to the BUTTERFLY KINGDOM several times with family, with friends, and I just love the peaceful beauty and what the two lovely women have created for us. I must see!

As a family travelling with four kids, we decided to go to Butterfly Kingdom. It was a small butterfly garden, but it was very nice, and we really enjoyed it. The kids wanted to go back already the next day!

This little gem is in Escazu,an upscale suburb of San Jose, and convenient to get to. It is a relatively small area, but the people who run the butterfly farm are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. One of the owners took us through the life cycle of butterflies and moths using live eggs, pupa, and hatching butterflies. She the showed us... More

I took my children to this butterfly garden and I loved it. The place has safe parking adjacent to the garden, bathrooms, a place for children to draw, and a wonderful pupa and butterfly exhibit. There are also picnic tables. It is the perfect place to take children. I highly recommend this place.

My husband and I stopped by the Butterfly Kingdom in Escazu. It was a darling place. We paid the extra money for a tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and helped us identify different butterfly species. We also had the opportunity to hold several caterpillars and pet butterflies. This small place is supported by the local community and it supplies... More

Our kids, 5 and 7 just loved this place. We ended up having a personal tool and spent 2 hours at this small garden. Do not miss it.
