Good acoustic from anywhere in the theater kind of old and requires some maintenance, but is a good place to go see events.

A perfect way to cap your day. People are dressed well coming into the theater and the gallery offers great views, not only of the stage but of the small details of architecture in the theater. Built in the 1920's this building has been restored...More

Not as posh as Teatro Nacional, Melico never dissapoints. Shows are on time, the clientelle is more varied and less snob than TN and the location is just as convenient. The top floor is OK just make sure that you arrive at least 1 hour...More

Nice theatre setting with good view of stage on second floor. Nice setting for Costa Rica night out. Disappointing no bar for interval drinks. Sad perhaps but was looking forward to it. Give it a try...

One of our unique and special places of Costa Rica.. One of the few older buildings in the city, it is part of the history of culture of the country.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Does Teatro Melico have a "box office" to buy tickets in person the week before, or the day of, a performance? I'd like to buy tickets in person for "Nutcracker" (coming soon).
