Karen Castillo Blanco was our guide. She was very personable and had a eye for finding the invisible. She was able to pick out interesting wildlife and allow to see them in her telescope. Karen was able to shoot pictures for us with our iPhones. Terrific guide

One of the best tours we took in Costa Rica! Karen picked us up at our Hotel, took us on a great tour, had a snack with us, and dropped us back off - On of the BEST Days of our trip to CR. I can't speak highly enough about Karen. She was professional, very knowledgeable and great company. She... More

Karen's extensive knowledge and superior equipment enabled us to see everything from the expression on a baby howler monkey's face to a beautiful 1/4 inch spider sitting in its web - and all of this hundreds of feet from where we stood! Our entire visit was never rushed. Even when the park was crowded, she helped us experience the rainforest... More

Karen met us where our ship docked and drove to Manuel Antonio Park. She was amazing and found many animals that we could not even see with the naked eye. We saw sloths, deer, monkeys, a bat and tiny tree frogs to name a few. Karen was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain many interesting facts about the animals... More

Thrilled that we decide to tour Manual Antonio National Park with Karen. She was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable on the area and animals. Karen usually takes 2-8 people on her tours. We decided to spend a little extra money and do a private tour, and we loved the personal attention. My husband and I have traveled extensively and it was... More

Best tour we took in CR! Karen is very friendly and knowledgable. She knew the answer to every question we had about insects animals trees and plants. She gave a lot of unsolicited information and history about the area and beach as well. Sometimes you're not sure what to ask on tours and she was able to insert that information... More

Karen was the best tour guide. I can't recommend her highly enough. She was so informative, explaining a lot about the animals we saw, the park, and history. We were with our two children (ages 11 and 7) and she was great with them. She asked them questions, and helped them feel part of the tour. My 7 year old... More

We just did Manuel Antonio with Karen Castillo last week - can't emphasize how great she was. She worked around our needs with our little ones, and was amazing at animal spotting. I think we saw about 10 creatures within the first 100 meters.. there were some prominent ones (e.g. pit viper, monkeys) that all guides were hovering around, but... More

Karen was great! She was able to spot so many creatures and provided so much information. I highly recommend you book a tour with her if you're in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area.

I can't recommend Karen highly enough as a guide! We hired her as our tour guide for Manuel Antonio park and never would have seen about 75% of the wildlife we saw! Watching the other tour groups in the park, we also noticed that Karen took much more time with us to make sure we found tons of species as... More
