About an hour drive from Manuel Antonio but a fun way to spend maybe half a day away from the more touristy attractions. Fun rainforest tour plus the long hanging bridge is a bit of a head rush. Awesome swimming by the waterfalls, especially when there are no other people around.

My sister and I stayed here overnight. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. My sister traveled the suspension bridge and enjoyed it immensely despite the height. Walking the well marked paths naming the various kinds of medicinal plants was refreshing. Coming down from our visit, we were led along the jungle road by a blue morpho butterfly.... More

I have been coming to Manuel Antonio for years but first time to Los Campesinos. So worth the one hour drive into the mountains above Quepos! We drove there ourselves (must have 4x4 or off road type vehicle). It was a beautiful drive through small towns and gorgeous jungle. We were scared and surprised and recharged by the hanging bridge,... More

This was a great trip with Vacation Buggy. You could do it on your own, but I don't think it would have been as good. Dopper, our guide, knows so much about Costa Rica and showed us so much we would not have seen on our own

We drove up to the Reserve for a morning of hiking and swimming. It was worth the bumpy drive - we definitely recommend a 4 wheel vehicle due to steep inclines and the unpaved road. The grounds are beautiful as are the waterfalls which were flowing lightly in the dry season. The Reserve offers a lunch meal, overnight stays and... More

We drove up by ourselves, fun drive in gorgeous jungle. I would advise 4x4! Our family spent a few hours here walking the trails, going over the suspension bridge and playing in the pool beneath one of the waterfalls...all without seeing another person! This was a highlight of our trip ! I would recommend Los Campesinos to anyone looking for... More

It took us 45 minutes to drive up from Quepos. The drive was good and we got to see a lot of nature. I suppose because February is not as busy in terms of tourism we did not have the challenging driving experiences that some writers put below... The Los Campesinos location is very well maintained. We visited 2 waterfalls,... More

Took a drive up the bumpy dirt road from Quepos to Los Campesinos. I didn't find the road to be as rough as some have noted in their reviews. Juan Pablo greeted us at the check in by apologizing for his lack of English. I found his English to be quite good, and he was very helpful. Because we were... More

First the road. We had a rented SUV and made it easily. I never thought I could not make any part of this trip... but the road is rough after the half way point. Lots of blind turns with room for only one car. Just be cautious and take your time. The drive is part of the fun and it... More

Beware that the roads to get here are extremely bad! You definitely need a 4x4 and even then we had to be so careful! The roads are really narrow and steep and full of major pot holes. But this place was really worth it for 2 things: they have the most impressive, high, narrow, beautiful and scary as hell hanging... More
