What a wonderful place! Our tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve with Bernie of Ocotea Tours was first rate. Without a guide we would missed so much, including the 5 quetzals and a nesting hummingbird.

I saw the butterfly garden, walked the trail over 8 bridges, did ziplining with Selvatura... and it was all wonderful. The rain did not bother me at all, it is a cloud forest and the atmosphere is magical. At the end of my zipline adventure...More

Booked a guided walk through the tourist office in St Helena. The guide Carlos was excellent and although the trip was spoilt by the rain he really did try to give us a good time and share his enthusiasm for the park.

There's so much wildlife to see in Costa Rica, although less in Monteverde than other places. People who come to Monteverde towards the end of their trip are sometimes disappointed as a result of this. The Cloud Forest Reserve is, however, a beautiful place to...More

Visited the Cloud Forest Reserve in early April of 2018 with my wife and daughter. We did the Sendero Nuboso hike in an afternoon. There are wonderful views from several viewpoints, particularly the Great Divide.

I saw taxis all around when we were there and the staff is extremely helpful. I think you’d be able to request them to call one for you if you needed it. We actually have a French couple a ride into Santa Elena because they... More
