It can get crowded later in the day, so go in the morning because the beach is very small. It's no longer a secret! Bring your own refreshments, but there are a few people that have set up a drinks and maybe some snacks we didn't want to risk trying. You might be able to rent a chair. Quite a bit of rocks in the water, but its warm, with gentle waves, and so pretty. Its a bit of a steep hike thru the woods, so I wouldn't want to carry too much.…

Crowded and dirty! I had high expectations for this beach, but I was extremely disappointed when we arrived. Don't waste time coming here and just stick to Playa Espadilla.

There is a 5 minute hike down to the beach, which is rough if you are bringing food or young kids along. Parking is pretty sketchy around here, but you can pay someone a very small fee to watch your car. On the huge plus side, the beach will always be gorgeous, with those picture perfect views and photos. The water is really calm and super kid friendly, as the waves break far out. Also a plus to it not being hidden anymore- there were two local vendors on the beach: one selling food, and another selling coconuts and renting chairs, so now you no longer have to lug all of your stuff up and down the hill. On a quiet day, this place is definitely 5 stars. But on a crowded day (like the one we just went on Saturday), people were falling over each other, the music from a few people's portable speakers was competing in an uncomfortable way, and the experience just wasn't what it used to be.…
