I am a Junior High teacher from Texas bringing students to study at Academia D'Amore escuela for the third year in a row. I am bringing 25 students Junior High students for 2 and 3 weeks again this summer 2016 because the level of Spanish my kids learned in the summer of 2015 and retained was awesome. The Junior High Spanish teachers quoted to me " a high majority of the students who attended Academia D'Amore advanced a whole school year of Spanish in their speaking ability and retainment in such a short time." The staff, teachers, and principal ... All join in and make learning Spanish the fun and engaging!" I have 9 out of the 25 students are returning again this 2016 summer with a whole year of Junior High Spanish under their belts. Very anxious to see the out come. The students and I are so excited to see y'all again... The summer can't get here fast enough.

Studying Spanish in a foreign country was on my bucket list this year. I visited Costa Rica a few years ago and always wanted to return. I’m happy to report that my 3 weeks at Academia D’Amore was a valuable experience! The school is located in Manual Antonio next to Hotel Tulemar. There are restaurants and a gym nearby. I researched a few schools, but decided on Academia D’Amore. The rates were reasonable. They were responsive and friendly. I had private sessions in November from Monday – Friday (2-5pm). My teacher, Keilyn was AWESOME! She has extensive experience and showed tremendous passion for teaching. She also loves learning different cultures and cares about her students. I enjoyed studying and going to class. The hardest part for me was speaking, but Keilyn motivated me to practice through conversations and games. I typically hate games, but Scrabble in Spanish was surprisingly fun. I learned more vocabulary than I thought. Another person who helped me was Viviana. She found a private studio that was a 5 minute walk from the school. It was conveniently located next to a bus stop and supermarket (SuperJosef). I originally wanted to be fully immerse living with a family, but I think this turned out perfectly. The studio had a clean kitchen, bathroom, and fan. It was very basic without hot water and air conditioner, but I felt safe. Viviana also helped me arranged transportation and answered any questions promptly. If you’re thinking about studying Spanish, I recommend Academia D’Amore. I walked away with basic skills and a new perspective.

I did this program for a month in the summer of 2015. I had tons of fun at this school and learned a lot. The teachers are really nice and accommodating. They are well qualified and only speak in Spanish so it's complete immersion. The atmosphere is relaxed which makes it easy to learn. Sometimes monkeys or sloths come by to visit which is a plus. David, the director, is very helpful and professional. I stayed with a family and it was the best experience because I learned a lot more about the culture through speaking with them. In addition to classes, there is plenty of time to schedule tours and travel at your leisure. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for an immersion program.

Took a group of 17 students last year for the first time with Academia de Espanol D' Amore. In the past, had been bringing my students to a different Spanish school in Quepos for the pass 6 years but chose to try a different Spanish school last 2014 summer. Oh!! What a right decision - I made choosing Academia D'Amore. The staff and David made all the difference in the world for how much my students learned and retain last summer. So the "Making a Difference Award" goes to... envelope please.... The wonderful teachers and staff at "Academia de Espanol D'Amore.. See you all this Summer 2015 and I will be bringing more students and more students will be attending class for 2 weeks this time. Warmest Friendship ... See you soon
