Description:

Join us as we cruise into the open sea, looking for spotted dolphins,...

Join us as we cruise into the open sea, looking for spotted dolphins, migrating humpback whales, sea turtles and manta rays. You will be captivated by the sight of dolphins frolicking in the boat's wake, or the inimitable sound of a whale's song( WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE ANY WILD LIFE SIGHTINGS, WIND FOR SAILING OR CLARITY FOR SWIMMING OR SNORKELING) For the safety and security of our clients we reserve the rights to make decisions in case of bad weather)

As we make our way down the coastline of Manuel Antonio National Park, the mysterious islands, jagged cliffs and unique rock formations will look almost close enough to reach out and touch. These are the nesting grounds and home for numerous species of marine birds, including pelicans, boobies and ibises. While touring the coastline, the captain will hoist the sails, wind permitting, and you will delight in the feel of the catamaran cutting quietly through the blue waters of the Pacific. Our onboard guide will be ready to answer any questions you might have, and will point out sights of interest while giving a brief history of the area. After touring the coastline, we will anchor in a protected cove within the pristine Biesanz Bay for swimming . We provide masks, snorkels and fins with no extra charge.

After you have finished playing in the water, come back on board and enjoy the delicious lunch we have prepared for you: Grilled fish brochettes with onion and green pepper, pasta salad with vegetables, fresh tropical fruits, and natural fruit drinks. As you relax over lunch on our boat in the tranquil bay, surrounded by the lush verdant landscape, having enjoyed all our tour has to offer, you might well feel that you now know the meaning of the word paradise.

The last leg of the tour is the trip back to the Quepos marina. An unforgettable added bonus for anyone who comes on one of our summer season afternoon tours is the chance to witness one of our dramatic tropical sunsets en route to the harbor. The total time of our catamaran tour is 3 1/2 hours, but the memories will last a lifetime.

Planet Dolphin offers three different catamarans for your island adventure. The Tom Cat II, our newest boat, is a roofed and shaded 70-foot sailing cat with a seating capacity of 110. It is available for all types of events-Birthdays, Weddings, Corporate Outings, Bar Mitzvahs, and Memorial Services.

The Tom Cat II: is an exceptionally stable and smooth-riding boat, perfect for the customer that wants a bit of comfort during the tour. And for that ones who like to feel the adrenaline we have a waterslide ``Tsunami''.

The Tom Cat I: is a roomy and comfortable 60-footer with a capacity of up to 40 passengers. The boat is partially roofed, providing a large shaded area with plenty of banquette seating. The bow of the boat features an open air trampoline deck and additional banquette seating with a water slide.

The Spanish Dancer: is a 37-foot MacGregor sport catamaran with a capacity of 12 passengers, perfect for small groups. This boat is a fast and maneuverable craft and recommended for those who like being closer to the elements and truly enjoy the feel of the sun on your face and the sea air in your lungs.

All of our boats have all requisite licenses, inspection certificates and insurance. Our captains and guides are seaworthy professionals and tourism industry veterans who always put the safety, well-being and enjoyment of the customer first.

We had a good time, with a 6 and 8 year old girl and parents. The boat and crew were well prepared and the food and drinks were plentiful and tasty. We saw a few dolphins and a terrific sunset. My only knock was the snorkeling. I'm not sure of the options in the area, but I wasn't impressed with... More

Myself and 3 of our children went on the morning tour while Dad and oldest son went deep sea fishing. We wanted to just get out on the water and see some more of the area. This tour accomplished that - and we managed to see a few dolphins!! The staff is extremely friendly and offer fresh juices, rum/vodka drinks,... More

Our hotel booked our snorkeling and sunset catamaran tour with Planet Dolphin. We enjoyed a lovely cruise along the coast, some snorkeling, swimming around the catamaran- including jumping into the water off the top of the catamaran, and sliding down the water slide- fun! Our dinner, simple pasta salad with pesto sauce, fish kabobs, banana flan, was yummy. There are... More

This is a must do. The staff is excellent. Get there early so you can get a seat on the trampolines in the front of the boat. You sail out to a snorkel spot where there are a lot of fish to see. Then you can swim for a little bit, evening jumping off the top of the boat. On... More

Last week we (2 adults, 9 year old and 11 year old) went on the Sunset Catamaran tour with Planet Dolphin. We boarded promptly at 2:00 and set out. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the entire trip. There was a photographer on board that took a ton of pictures but you weren't approached or obligated to purchase... More

It was a very cool and relaxing experience. You can take very nice picture from the catamaran and they also give you the chance to do some snorkeling for almost an hour. The food is also included. Overall, a very positive experience.

We booked this cruise upon the recommendation of the resort we were staying in, Arenas del Mar. We wanted a to see the coastline, some dolphins, and go snorkelling. As soon as we got on, the music started blaring and the booze started flowing. The trip to see dolphins was quick and the snorkelling was sub-par - short-lived and interrupted... More

We did a group trip as part of an Exodus multi activity holiday, including a cruise round the bays of Manuel Antonio National Park, snorkelling, dinner and sunset - plus free drinks (beer charged but inexpensive). We were incredibly lucky to see a humpback whale and her baby! Not the usual season so even more special. I swam rather than... More

I was very happy with this choice of sunset dinner cruises. I have a 10 and 13 year old and this was definitely a wonderful experience for them. First of all, there were only a handful of kids on the boat. Maybe four more and they were under the ages of six. Their parents were very attentive to them and... More

The afternoon cruise left around 2 and returned around 6ish after sunset. It was the perfect day, we saw dolphins, rays and a... More
