The beaches are much better going a little further south. Here in Puerto Veijo it is rocky and not much fun to swim in.

All the beaches in Puerto veijo are great,and all have something different to offer. This beach is beautiful and located close to restaurants and shops.

Just visited the beach for a few hours. Beach is alright but Sloth Beach to the south a few miles is much nicer

Although the sand area wasn't extremely plentiful you were capable of finding a good spot at all hours. Water was clean and warm!

There is really no bad beach. The under two is no joke. I'm a strong swimmer and I could feel it pulling. You needn't go to far out to enjoy the waves.

The beach in town is not the cleanest but it's a fun place to hang out at night and seems entirely safe. Would recommend staying at Cocles or other beach outside town and visit.
