The water was terrific, the beach is lovely, people were super interesting... and so many options to eat or just get a refreshment. Nice to walk on, great to swim in... a totally great day

The beach is accessible, clean, and offers restaurants and surfing. Horses can be spotted sauntering along any time of day. Great for morning and evening strolls.

Large and panoramic with great restaurants and shopping and a boho chic vibe. It's very ITALIAN which is a great alternative to the Pinto mega tico flare in Nearby Carrillo beach. One of the few beaches with many many true oceanfront locations to eat and...More

Is there any nightlife at all? Pubs nearby, casino, etc.

It isn't really a party town. More family oriented with primarily restaurants, not pubs so much.

We are headed to Samara in April with two kids, ages 9 and 11. Can the island off Samara Beach that is good for snorkeling be reached safely with paddleboards? Is it very far? Would we need to go with a tour or could we reach it on our own

We used Samara Adventure Co for a dolphin/snorkelling tour. It was excellent. The Samara Info Center has many more activities to do in and around Samara. Enjoy!

Hi! I will be staying in Samara in May. Is the beach really as dirty as everyone says it is? Is there really dog poop everywhere?
