Nice letter town. Not the easiest to walk around due to the lack of side walks. Nice views and sunsets.

We visited several beaches and loved every minute! Water was not cold. Didn't go out too far due to the rip tides.

Hired Scuba Caribe to take the 15 minute water taxi ride from the Riu Guanacaste resort to Playas del Coco. The Scuba Caribe centre is right on the resort, so it was super convenient. $20 US per person return. The guides were super helpful and...More

We rented a condo for 2 weeks. A lot of expats there. Prices were a little high. Beautiful beaches and sunsets. Rent a car and visit the local towns away from tourist area.

Great for family with young childrens. Waves are not big and there are great showers on the beach. Sunsets and sunrises there are extremely beautiful

Save your money. best thing about this place is the water taxi from the hotel. very expensive and just about all junk. the only shining start was coconuts bar and restaurant. Good drinks and food and the wooden tables are incredible

There's nothing amazing about this beach. The sand is brownish black and the water is nice and clear. It has a lot of food choices, bars and shops around. Very average beach in my opinion but the sunsets are truly gorgeous!

Very nice beach, clean and very close to our resort. Not crowded at all. Calm waters and very safe to swim even with kids.

Hi Cathy Playa del coco itself is not ideal for snorkelling but there are tour companies which you can easily find who specialise in snorkelling tours and scuba diving. My suggestion would be to ask important questions... More

There are good dentists and a good emergency clinic in Coco. For dental surgery you will probably go to Liberia, twenty miles away. Medical and dental tourism is number one in Costa Rica taking over Mexico’s spot. A member... More
