Great snorkeling but very busy beach! You could walk right in the water and see all kinds of fish right off shore.

It's just ok. One half is all broken seashells you can't even walk. The other half is nice. But the water was murky and rough.

Amazing day.Saw turtles heading out to sea. Monkeys in the trees . A nice walk from Brasilito or a short drive with a 4x4

Great day trip at this area. Beautiful quiet beach (except for the jet ski guys). We walked in from Brasillito beach. Took a shuttle from Tamarindo. $12 return a person. The price that you pay for having a relatively peaceful undeveloped spot is that they have no services. No bathrooms, no place to buy lunch. Best to pick up supplies... More

One of the most beautiful beaches we've been to. Crystal clear water and easy for the kids to swim and snorkle, no rough waves. Not a ton of restaurants or things to do nearby, but for us that was perfect. More touristy places are about 10 minutes away. Look for the local family owned hotels for great rates.

We got off the bus at Brasilito and walked to Playa Conchal, nice 30 min walk, past shops and restaurants along Play Brasilito through the tree where lots of cars where going. It's a Shelly beach on a slope and the locals sit in the trees with huge cool boxes. The rocky area for snorkelling was very crowded and the... More

So, Playa Conchal, apparently one of the nicest beaches in Costa Rica. Fair enough, the beach is beautiful, the sea is crystal clear (due to the make-up of the beach being sea shells rather than sand causing murky water), but the beach is busy/touristy. There are limited areas to find any shade unless you get there early and mark your... More

My favorite of all the beaches in Costa Rica that we visited. I have never before seen a beach where the sand in made of seashells. It was fascinating.

its a very beautiful beach but very crowded, there are tons of people, hard to find a spot on the beach, music coming from all directions, but the sea is amazing
