See the best of La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano area in just one day with this tour. Start with a hike along the La Fortuna River, continuing to a suspension bridge tucked deep into the jungle. Then walk to a local indigenous village followed by a traditional lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Arenal Volcano for more hiking before wrapping your day up with a soak in a natural thermal river.

A fun day exploring the jungle. Includes a nice waterfall and the views from the bridges is incredible.

The park is beautiful! So many animals to see. Unfortunately it was a bit wet when we went. Highly recommend hiring one of the guides they will help you view the animals with the telescope and can find the animals way better than you could yourself. Our guide also took photo with our phones through the telescopes.

We bought a tour from TripAdvisor, through Red Lava company, which we kindly recommend. They contacted us a day before to arrange our meeting in the next morning. We choose a full day tour which included also a hot springs relax in the afternoon. That moment mean so much for me, after all that hiking. This tour include some hanging bridges, which we were so overjoyed to see them. Neither this time, my fear for heights does not disappoint me. These bridges has a heights quite impressive but every time they guarantees your safety. After this bridge we descend to a waterfall where we can make a good bath as well. This trail cannot be accessed on your own, only with a tourism agency.

The Hanging Bridges of Arenal Volcano National Park is a great area for birding. Walk the trails and cross the hanging bridges keeping your eyes on the forest for birds. This is a very special area for high quality birding. Trogons, birds of prey, Woodcreepers are a small selection of what you might see. Capuchin monkeys may be seen in the trees.

To complete these trails and bridges was personally amazing to me. I have a little height thing going on but I was determined to do this and we just took our time on our own. Your are in the rain forest surrounded by many species birds, reptiles, and mammals. Your literally very high in the trees at times. So many birds and monkeys and the foliage amazing. Some towering over you. Some of the bridges (especially the last) can be a little shaky. I just followed my husband and looked forward not down crossing them. Must do!
