Unfortunately it was raining when visited. But the drive through was a good experience. Huge grounds, well maintained and great variety of trees and plants.

We spent the afternoon at CATIE and loved it. Saw Boat-billed, Green, Great Blue and Little Blue Herons; White-crowned and Yellow-Crowned Night-Herons, Snowy and Cattle Egrets, and plenty of Northern Jacanas at the pond. Walking around campus yielded many other birds. Perhaps the highlight for...More

Wonder time leaning about birds, tropical fruit And lots more. Staff explained everything well and were very friendly. Went for walk round the amazing grounds and would happily go back again.

Spent an afternoon exploring and birding. The pond had some nesting wading birds, saw a couple of new birds. Explored the botanical garden.
