easy class 2 river

I spent several days kayaking on the Pejibaye. It has easy access to the road. The rapids were not very large but it was fun

The surroundings are beautiful, but if you have come all the way to Costa Rica then I think you can do better than this river. The rapids are very easy and much of the time you will be drifting. If you are looking for a thrill, go to Pejibaye.

The Pejibaye is easy family whitewater. Great views of rural Costa Rica and the small farms that once sustained the country. I think this is one of the more attractive rural areas in the country. Easy access from the Orosi Valley and Turrialba. There are several nice country inns nearby.

Amazing bird watching on the river. Sun Bitttern in display, Green Kingfishers NOT hiding.... a beautiful valley.

Although the whitewater is not more than a II+ to III, the beauty of this little river is well worth it

Excellent trip - make sure you go with a guide though as it's quite an advanced river. Great fun - good waterfalls, beautiful 'Jurassic Park - esque' views - without the dinosaurs! :)

Our family went rafting with Costa Rican Resource (crrtours.com). We have 3 boys ages 8 1/2, 8 1/2, and 11. We had a great time! Our "pilot" Marlon was clearly experienced and made sure everything was done safely. Luis stayed close by in a kayak to check things out, assist if anyone fell in, take pictures, and generally keep us... More

It is a river there is not much around it. It is very clean and refreshing. There is shade and sunny parts aswell. Great for rafting, kayaking or simply relaxing. There is lots of flora and fauna all around.

This is an ideal trip for those who have never rafted before. The river is usually tranquil, but it is ideal for those that don't feel up to the Pacuare.

Second time we booked with this company and our family loved it as much as we did a few years ago. The river is challenging enough for first timers, October the river is very full. Don't hesitate to do this trip, most ages are comfortable , and the company is very safety conscious.
