This was, hands-down, the best entertainment value for our entire trip to La Fortuna. Don Olivio picked us up personally at our hotel and drove us out and the tour started right when we arrived. It's a wonderful, comprehensive experience that goes way beyond chocolate....More

I learned a great deal about chocolate, from growing to producing this wonderful treat. We were given many different types of fruit to taste that grow on the premises and the tour of the gardens was so fascinating. All the things we tasted were grown...More

As we walked around this small plantation, our guide (the Don's son) talked about various fruits and spices that prevented and cured illness and diseases. It was fascinating, and I wish I could remember everything he told us. Seniors and children alike will easily make...More

The plantation is beautiful! We tried many different fruits: star apple, papaya, pineapple, valencia oranges, starfruit, etc. We also saw the many plants and the MANY cocoa trees! I never realized that cocoa pods were so pretty, and that the inner coating is sweet like...More

My gf and I enjoyed our time at the Don Olivo Cacao Plantation. We got to try 1/2 dozen fruit fresh from the tree (most tasteful we’ve ever had) and of course freshly made cacao. It was also very educating, Minor knew what he was...More

Very nice tour. Friendly staff. You get to taste several fruits along the way while roaming on the property. You learn how they make chocolate and get to taste their home-made chocolate. The groups are small enough that you can enjoy the visit. Highly recommended.
