The tour we took was good, but not what i expected. Theproprietor was very nice and friendly. With a horseback ride to waterfalls, i was expecting to spend most of my time in the rainforest. Instead, we crossed through mostly farm fields and took the roads. You could have gotten the same experience without a sore butt by just driving... More

A favorite of our family. Kids ages 14,12 and 8 all loved it. Horses fantastic, well trained and docile. The hike to the waterfall was well worth it for an amazing swim at the base of the waterfall. Great memory. Thanks to Alberto and his son Edson.

The horses are a family and know the trail and their job impeccably. They are clearly loved and well-tended. Alberto even asked us for our astrological signs in matching us with the horses! It's an hour's ride to the waterfall across all kinds of terrain: grass field, stony brook, pavement, up and downhill. It wasn't the first time I went,... More

I was a bit hesitant about horseback riding in general, but Alberto and his sons made it such a pleasant trip! It took about an hour to get to the waterfall then we spent another hour at La Fortuna waterfall (freezing cold, but refreshing) and then we headed back. Loved the fact that all of the horses were in great... More

My husband and I also did the Horseback Ride to the falls and everything StaceyAS said is exactly how we experienced it. Our guide, Alberto's son was informative, polite, well experienced. The ride enjoyable and the falls magnificent including the walk down and back up to the top. The most fun we have had in a long time.

Is a must! Best way to see the countryside, nice ride to the waterfall and back. The horses are very well trained, and everybody is very friendly there. The waterfall is beautiful, you can have time to swim and relax before riding back to the ranch.

So much fun, and such warm and welcoming hosts! Like some of the others, I emailed Alberto in advance and made a reservation. He made it easy and asked for our riding experience and held the date and time for us. You can email him through their Facebook page. When we arrived, Alberto took a few minutes to get to... More

My husband and I were in Arenal for our honeymoon after getting married in Tamarindo and decided to do the La Fortuna waterfall tour and thought going by horseback would be a great way to see some of the countryside too, and we are certainly glad we did! We had a small group (only 4 of us and ironically the... More

My wife, 13 year old son and I decided to take the horse back your just late the night before(last night), and we were not disappointed. Alberto was a gentleman, quite engaging, and his son Edson(our guide) was warm right from the start, and all the way through. From the beginning you start up the slope towards the mountain region,...
