This is the MOST magnificent of God's creations. A true beauty. The hike getting to the waterfall was fun: a little strenuous and muddy along the way with many steps to climb, but so worth it. Wear good hiking shoes & bring a rain jacket just in case. We did get sprinkled on part of the way. The waterfall &... More

Stunning beauty, through the rainforest, one of the most majestic waterfalls I have ever seen, and a "blue" river which is a sight not to be missed

I visited Rio Celeste on a rainy day, so the water wasn't as awesomely blue as it usually is. That was a shame, but the waterfall was awesome. I walked through the whole thing, but to be honest, the waterfall would've been enough. After that there wasn't anything too special to see. Be careful it it's raining - it might... More

We had a great day hiking to the waterfall. Ronald was our guide and he did a wonderful job with his English and his knowledge of the rain forest. He also helped us when it got slippery and steep. Nelson was our driver and picked us up at Tenorino Lodge and got us to the park and to our lunch.... More

Put on your hiking shows and be prepared to get them muddy if it's been wet recently, but it's a great little hike to the falls and then be sure to continue beyond the falls to see the pool and then a little further to see where the two rivers meet to cause the blue colour. The hike after the... More

The casitas are large and luxurios, the outdoor showers are heaven, the decks private and the staff attentive...and the food very enjoyable. It can rain or be overcast, so bring books (or other indoor recreatin!) to entertain. Head out on a hike to the river ASAP you can. The road is not as bad for as long a distance, but... More

We went to Rio Celeste through a tour with "Get Lost in Costa Rica".... it was definitely a hike up to the fall and then to Laguna Azul, but well worth it. When we were there it was extremely muddy. You can rent boots before starting the hike. We didn't think we needed them. We ended up with very muddy... More

Amazing natural wonder. A tricky hike, but worth it. The water is amazing. Its not an easy trail, but OMG it is beautiful The trails are well marked, but you will get muddy. Do take the Hwy 6 entrance, not the short cut from Fortuna, that road is HORRIBLE, but the entrance off 6 is concrete, Trust me well worth... More

This has been on my wife's bucket list for sometime. We were not disappointed. It is not easy to find as signage could be better. Use "Rio Celeste Hideway Hotel" or "Park Volcano Teneorio" signs to find. There are many steps to get the bottom of the falls. We took great pictures from the steps. Be aware that the trail... More
