This isn't really an exhibition hall - it's a store to buy beautiful traditional cloth that is overpriced. I loved the fabric and really enjoyed winding around the little allies to find the place.

I’m personally drawn to these fabrics so found the place very special. We took a bit more time to review the many beautiful patterns on offer than expected, but the shopkeepers were gracious enough to stay open and not rush us while we made our...More

My sister-in-law took me here. I thought, why do you want to take me to a fabric store. Well, it was awesome. I love blue & white things. They have a nice display of how they make the fabrics. But don't expect a guided tour...More

Visited today. They never said a word to us. The lights were barely turned on for us in the store downstairs, and not at all in the exhibit upstairs. Then we were shoved out the door into a torrential downpour.

What a fantastic chance find! The fabric is incredible, but it's worth visiting just to have a look at the traditional lane houses. Beautiful courtyard, a peaceful historical gem. I could have stayed all afternoon.

Located off side streets in the Old French Concession, this museum / gift shop is well worth visiting. Preserving the ancient techniques of blue fabric dyeing that originated on the silk road, this gallery has a small exhibit museum upstairs and various hand made clothes,...More

Ok - we LOVED this work. But it was very expensive and we didn't buy any. If you like batik style and these colors, there is a lot to choose from. they also have yard goods. Should have gone back to buy

This place is not easy to find or on a well-traveled path. My wife and I found it wandering aimlessly around our neighborhood one weekend. It is a cool place that shows some artesinal printed textiles typical of China. The pieces in the shop are...More

Former French Concession
While there are technical borders to the area formerly
governed by the French in Shanghai, the "French

is a favorite of the city's foreign residents. While
it is mostly within the Xuhui district, residents will
sometimes include parts of Jing'an and Luwan in their
mental maps of the Former French Concession. The area
seems frozen in time, characterized by quiet,
