Tested many times, including morning and afternoon rush hours. Definitely dimensioned for a big modern metropolis. Always a reliable service, definitely competitive with other surface transportations.

Comfortable, consistent and cheap. It's easy to get anywhere in Shanghai and never were the shuttles too crowded.

There are two metro stations at Hongqiao Airport, at Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. In theory you should be able to get the refund for your card at the Metro Station Service Booth.
