Temple is intersting to see, location is amazing - in the middle of high rise buildings and lots of traffic - prestigious temple. The surrounding with little shops and small restaurants are nice to visit.

This is a significantly more 'bling' temple than any other I have seen in China, reminding me of some of the golden roofs and pagodas in Thailand. The rear pagoda and exterior statues are incredibly ornate and the main hall, containing a large Buddha and...More

Before you go in, step back or take the crosswalk a few hundred meters back so you can take in the view of the old temple juxtaposed with the modern skyscrapers of today's Shanghai. Inside is an old temple, a rare quiet place in the...More

Who would ever expect to find this piece of culture and history*, tranquility and beauty hidden between towering skyscrapers in a big city? I was quite delighted to find such a pretty gem hidden away in the middle of the world's largest city. The artwork...More

This temple is well preserved and maintained, if anything it looks too clean. It hardly seems old! Slap bang in the middle of a busy part of the city.

This may be one of the most beautiful Temples I´ve ever been. It´s for free and you get to walk through colorful and vibrant halls, see amazing architecture and statues. Still, you can see the high buildings that surround the Temple haha what can I...More

The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple,
while the main artery of excitement and entertainment
is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French
Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign
residents but displays a more commercial character.
Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and
trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing
Road, but areas off the busy street have the same
