The riverside walk along the Bund may be busy and crowded during the day, but with good reason - it's simply a must when in Shanghai for people-watching and getting a good feel for the city.

Its worth wandering down the Bund during the day and at night. During the day you can check out the buildings and the weddings. At night the view of the skyscrapers is great.

It is a nice walk with fun people watching. You can book a boat tour with dinner (didn't have time, but it looks like fun) and the lights are beautiful. But they turn them off at 10 pm, so go early

The two things are completely different. The promenade is a nice place for a stroll or walk. Just have a nice time taking in the sights and enjoying the view.
