The riverside walk along the Bund may be busy and crowded during the day, but with good reason - it's simply a must when in Shanghai for people-watching and getting a good feel for the city.

Visited on a lovely cold but sunny winter's day and enjoyed excellent views across the diver to the Bund. Lovely to stroll along enjoying the views. I took the little monorail under the water to the other side but could give that a miss another...More

This is a great place to visit at night. It is dead-easy to get there with all the metro stations in close proximity. You can take a ferry across the river.. great fun for kids!

You can see a lot of picture about the Bund, but the most people there are tourists. I'd like to take my friends here, it also has a great view in the night, but with local people enjoy their everyday life.

We went to the riverside walk during the day and in the evening. When the lights come on in the evening it is quite lovely.

The two things are completely different. The promenade is a nice place for a stroll or walk. Just have a nice time taking in the sights and enjoying the view.
