The Garden is huge in size and probably you can pick your areas to visit which might interest you. It has a dinosaur park, Amusement rides are and large fields. The Garden was not clean and if I try to compare... More

On the whole this is a really nice find in northern Shanghai. It is easily reached by metro line 7 (the metro station is right under the Park) and there are various local and foreign restaurants close by if you want to have a snack or lunch/dinner after visiting. There is also a new mall/outlet village across the road which... More

Gucun park is reachable through line 7 exit 2, 14 stops from jing'an temple(45 min). The cost of admission is 20 rmb. I visited on a Wednesday, last week of March. All the Sakura trees are in bloom and very beautiful. The park is clean and well managed. There are lots of activities that you can do in the park.... More

A must go park if you happen to be there when the cherry blossoms and other spring flowers are in bloom. It sits just above the gucun park station and four a mere 20rmb you get access to a huge park with acres and acres of cherry and plum trees. However I had to get past my initial fear of... More

Park was pretty but hard to get over the overwhelming crowd..125,000 attendance on the day we visited. Not sure I would recommend this for foreign visitors

Blossom was out 20 Mar and so were crowds. We arrived at 3pm Sunday and still very busy. Interesting to see what people would take selfies of. For younger children dinosaur park would be fun but fossil exhibits were not like anything we would see in the UK, especially like political sheep skeleton

The picturesque park is famed for flowering cherry trees or known in China as Sakura. Stroll through the park and enjoy the flowers, greenery and tranquility away from the bustling Shanghai streets.

My wish to see cherry blossoms became real when i was in Shanghai and was very happy to know that this park is so close to the city. Conveniently accessible via the MRT train system. The park was very clean and a very nice experience.
