A great experience - modern, clean and efficient. Took the fast train to Wenzhou and the whole experience was comfortable and seamless.

This place is huge, but pretty easy to find where you need to go. Remember to leave early or give extra time to travel there, Shanghai traffic can be quite stop-start, not as bad as Beijing though.

This is more like an airport then a train station. It's so well organised - you're not allowed on the platform until the guards say so, just like at the airport gate. Imagine being here (so organised and clean) then going straight to Delhi's main train station which we did...!

i like this place because it's like an airport. very bug and organized. but since there are a lot of people coming here to go back to provinces especially peak season, i suggest you go here 2 hrs before your suggested trip. the instructions and informations on screen is chinese so you need ample time to ask around. This station has everything you could possibly need--more like a Western airport. Note you cannot buy train tickets from the automatic machines without a Chinese identity card, you must speak with a teller.

We read a review which said to take your own food on the trains, so we got a small takeaway package from our hotel. However, there are shops galore at this HUGE train station. Even if you can't read Chinese, you will see on your ticket at the top in the middle your train number, the next line is your... More

The design is attractive: simple and clear, circulation and signage are excellent. No hassle or scrum to get on the train. Plenty of food outlets and shops. This is a "sister" station of Beijing Nan and both are EXCELLENT stations. The high-speed rail experience was one of the best rides of our lives could not be better!
