The station is for all high speed train depart from Shanghai. The station is almost on the last stop of line 2 and take almost 1.5hr (9RMB) from Pudong Airport. If you have to catch a train at HQ after landed in Pudong, make sure you have enough time. It is faster to take airport bus line 1 from Pudong... More

You can get to almost anywhere in China from here. It is the termination point for many of the high speed railways in eastern China. Huge, but simple - just one gigantic hall. You go downstairs for the taxi line - which is astoundingly long but moves quickly. You can also leave the station by transit (there is a subway... More

is very easy to get to compared to other main stations in Shanghai (metro line 2 or line 10) and is closer to the city center than the other ones as well...20 mins by metro to Jingan Temple. It is joined to Terminal 2 of Hongqiao International Airport and so pretty much has everything you would expect to find, including... More

For those of you travelling from Shanghai on the high speed rail network, it is more than likely that you will be going from or to this station. It is not located in or close to the city centre, but is really easy to get to. Metro lines 2 and 10 serve the station with the city centre and a... More

Your typical Chinese railway...people smoking inside can be very annoying, it's also very very dirty at times. Having said this it does make it easy and convenient to get around.

Modern and well organized, hard to get lost. Massive and impressive, like many new buildings and infrastructure in China. You can find English speaking staff available there, there is a metro station and a MAGLEV station available. Try the MAGLEV, riding above ground 450 kmh!

Travel by fast train in China is an experience worth the effort. Its cost effective, fast and convenient. The trains are spotless clean, well maintained; just as the stations are. Travel at speeds upto 300 kmph with hardly any vibrations to be felt - awesome. Just remember, there are several kinds of trains, some faster than others. Also, fast trains... More

If you are travelling via the China Rail Network in and out HongQiao Station you will find it a very busy place indeed. For the uninitiated it may seem even a daunting task to find the correct platform and follow the instructions for boarding. Fear not, there are plenty of people in the station that are most times willing to... More

This is a incredibly humongous station. Very crowded and there are people everywhere. Very well connected to other cities via high-speed rails.

Hongqiao railway station is larger than our airport back home:) Easy to find your way and for e.g. trains Shanghai- Beijing your gate is either in the front or back of train so entering from two sides of the big hall. Train tickets you can buy in small kiosks in the city center as well, bring your passport. Recommend business... More
