It is a nice place for taking photo. It was raining when we were there so we did not see much. Some rooms closed but it was a good and nice place to visit.

I visited the place in 2011 and thought it was cool. Another visit in 2017 was not so much. I had hoped the place grew a lot since. Well, it did but most of the additions seem to be stores, offices and restaurants. The core...More

It is a very nice art district area utilizing renovated old warehouses into individual art galleries. You need to take a taxi there but when you want to leave it is very difficult to get a taxi.

Great art galleries and shops! There are also a few cafes and coffee shops to regain some energy while you peruse. You can often meet the artists too!

Smaller than its 798 counterpart in Beijing. Instead of the massive sculptures, they rely on quirky paintings and exhibits. Even got to meet several artists in the studio while doing their next project. Recommend to visit during morning or midday though as the area looks...More

Actually I went there for the LWH Gallery, but I couldn't find building #14, for over 30 minutes. So I settled with every other gallery around. I paid 60 yuan, through Alipay, got a bracelet around the wrist. Quite colorful landscape, funky, live. A live...More

Great venue to check out some Galleries and having a coffee or lunch. A bit confusing walking around as it is hard to tell where are the galleries that are open. Island6 is a must see.

Like a Shanghai's answer to Hackney Wick, this is an ex-industrial warren of galleries and studios, with some cafes, shops, bars and restaurants thrown in for good measure. I stopped in a cafe for a drink (pretty cool, pretty expensive; can't remember its name) and...More

As others have said, yes. It's about 10-15 minutes from the Central Train Station. It's a nice walk over the Suzhou river.

Agreed, no ticket needed. But you have to get there, and it's a bit out of the way, so there's a time investment, even if there's no fee.
