Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took the metro to Zhongshan Park station and took a walk around this local park. Most of the people here were locals doing exercises and dancing. Some places had nice flowers and it was pleasant to walk around for an hour or more.

What a great place to visit on a Sunday full of entertainment with singing, dancing, musicians, people fishing, boating and much much more. There no hairs and graces everyone is there to enjoy and relax in the sunshine. Differently a place to visit and enjoy. We took our badminton kit and was soon playing with the locals late into the afternoon. Truly delightful.

I visited Zhongshan Park with some friends in July 2017. It was quite picturesque and the atmosphere was nice. Be weary of the weather! It was 40C when we visited, and no ride operates if the temperature is above 35C...which is basically the summer in Shanghai which was disappointing, but I suppose health and safety rules are there for everyone! It was nice to walk around the park anyway.

This is not an amusement/pay to enter park. This is a city public park next to the Zhongshan mall. It has had a complete overhaul in the last few years and it is beautiful. There are some rides for kids and young at heart. Ponds and walking trails. Lots of green space and shaded space to relax and take in the all the culture happening right there. Love this place

Beautiful park in Shanghai for a walk. We went mid afternoon in the sweltering August heat, there was plenty of shade and lots of benches to rest.
We watched locals playing games and instruments. Flying kites and walking. We enjoyed ice creams and refreshments from a vendor located in the park.
One if the nicest things about the parks was it's actual amount of greenery and lack of people. We were hugely disappointed by areas like people's square as we thought there would be nice gardens! These were those gardens that we desired!

The park is lovely - a traditional Chinese park with lovely green lawn and ponds and small bridges...But it's closed till October 2013, so mind it while planning your trip.

I had been here several times before. I never knew they had children's park rides because the park is so big I never saw it.
The rides are great for young kids, very short lines, and not expensive.
I saw there are boat rides on a lake but I haven't found that part yet.
Bring a tent for kids naps and spend the whole day there. Nice place.

Very convenient location, can take metro Line 2/ Line 3/Line 4 to get there. Lots of shoppping centres surrounded. It is good to have a walk through. There is a free exhibition museum , talks about the changing of the Changning district. Very relax to have a walk in the park and enjoy the sunshine.

I go to Zhongshan park nearly every day, even in winter (winters here are very mild). In this beautifully maintained park I can get away from all the noise and stress with my little toddler and let him run around and play.
Beware, Park life here is very different from Europe! It is one of the best ways to experience Chinese culture, as they practice their hobbies here (seen sword dancing, Kung fu, singing, trumpet playing, dancing, mahjong and all sorts of other games)
The grounds are meticulously kept - more for decoration purposes than for lying around or picnics. There are some greens though where kids can roam and locals can fly their kites. I really love having this park close by.

Has Zhongshan Park reopened? It has been a year since I was in the area but for quite a while the park was closed for rennovation. I use this park for running when i stay nearby.
