Grew up here !

Very friendly people, I grew up playing there in the 40's. Love the original look. We have events at the shed", and the workers are very nice and helpful. Fine city facility.

A visit to the Montgomery Vistors Center is a walk in history. It is the HIstoric Union Railroad station. It has been restored in a way to maintain its history. The train shed is used for many community events. Today when we were visiting, they were preparing for the street fest. It is a nice walk in history and close... More

I keep being amazed by the Southern hospitality which really can be experienced here. The staff takes a lot of time to explain the best way to explore Montgomery, complete with a map and free parking for the Capitol building area.

This is a charming little break from the hot sun as you walk through the shops and cafe's in Montgomery. If you walk there it's part of the walk along the river, if you drive, they have shaded parking in the back. Don't forget to check out the architecture, historical facts, pictures and the gift shops inside.

We found the staff very friendly & helpful. They were able to give us excellent ideas of what to do & where to go. There is free tourist parking behind the building & they can provide a free parking permit for the Capital area.

The lady who we saw was very helpful in suggesting places to visit. We already had a list and she mostly confirmed what we thought we wanted to see. Oddly, a couple of days later she saw us walking along a road outside town, recognised us and stopped to check we were not lost and didn't need a lift. We... More

Staffed by friendly people they have information on local attractions, maps and a gift shop. Also located by the complex is a trolley car from the early 1900's

The people in the visitors center were very helpful. Be sure and park around back (it's free) not in the hotel parking across the street in front of the visitors center. (not free) Nice video about Montgomery also.

Both ladies who assisted us on Monday morning, July 25, 2016, were friendly and helpful. We were provided a parking pass to the Capitol since it was hot and the mile walk would have not been comfortable. We were given suggestions of places to see in the few hours we were spending in Montgomery. We viewed a well done short... More
