Being the oldest functioning Catholic Church in the country is a wonderful accolade, but this is the only fact that has gained notoriety and tourism over the years. Just like other sites in Melaka, the church has history of Portuguese and Dutch occupation from the beginnings, but now seems more of a memory than the future. During our brief visit... More

Worth for the first trip but really nothing much left. Just like other historical attraction, normally you don't want to visit it the second time.

Lots of stairs, pretty steep too beware. But great view for photo opportunity. Wishing well inside of church.

It is the oldest functioning Roman Catholic Church in Malaysia in the heart of Malacca. Check at the church for mass times.

The picture is misleading. Google St Peter's Church. There is a Church at its original location. Next to it is a new building. St Peter's Church is the oldest functioning Catholic church in Malaysia, built in 1710. Must visit.

Walking distance from Stadhuys up the St. Paul's Hill is the location. Must have a look at St. Francis Xavier's statue and his burial spot before he was transported back to his birth place in Goa, India. Get a Licensed Tour Guide to tell the story and you will be intrigued with the history.
