I really love the view from the river cruise. The buildings along the river are very interesting and well maintained.

There is a river cruise and it is worth the ride because though short but interesting. Take the night ride so that it is not so hot, it is about 45-minutes. One could see the tranquil views of colonial buildings, antiquated shophouses, local settlements and ancient bridges as well as modern decorations and local art displays within Malacca. T

I am not sure, but walking along the river I saw the remnants of beauties, wall painting, architecture, stone sidewalk...But all in decrepitude and dirty, and places and restaurants abandoned, close.. What's the matter? Does the city lost the proudness of his heritage and beauties? Some area I was sure if I was in security.

Walking is needed but take a leisurely stroll and plan your destination. Nearby to our hotel at Malacca City. There are also hotels and attractions by the river. Things to try Malacca cendol and ais kacang(sweet dessert). Have river cruise and souvenier shops. Will go there again.

Both side of the river had gone thru a revamp and the old charm already gone. It is now just a boat ride to escape the heat and nothing else.

Much hype about this cleanup river. The river was indeed cleaned up if it was to be compared with 5 years or earlier ago. The water is still murky with a slight smell. It seems that the waterway clean up had ran out of steam. The warehouses along the quay were restored and done up. Murals were painted, a good... More

It's very quiet in the morning and very beautiful in the night. The view was nice from old town area. You could enjoy this river by walking or you may take Melaka River Cruise.

I did walking beside the river, day-time and at night and it was great place to visit and feel free and relieve the stresses.

This should be your first stop in melaka. As recommended by a local friend i couldnt agree better The cruise passed through kampung Mortem first. Historical malay kampung now preserved for its heritage n culture. Then it goes through the heart of the old city.... waterfront all preserved as historical sites and decorated with mural on the old shop houses... More
