We stayed at a local campground and found it very peaceful. The lake was huge with many branches. We drove to the dam area and was not impressed.

Great time for families doing some fishing and boating. With the campgrounds available your family can stay and play on the water. Really beautiful.

You can get near the dam, but there are no public tours. The facility is owned and operated by Alabama Power.
