Huntsville Museum of Art: the permanent collection is skippable. Temporary exhibits are hit and miss. It’s quite pricey ($10) for a small regional museum. 2/5.

This museum has a variety of art that appeals to all areas. There is an interactive children's area, permanent exhibits, and exhibits that change, so there is always something new to see. Check out the website or call for free activities. Once a month children's art activities are offered for free. Also, the is usually a part of the museum... More

There is always something to enjoy at the Huntsville museum of Art. Nice environment too. Great place to enjoy and relax and learn. You can stop in for 15 minutes or 2 hours and get your money's worth. Relax. Have a delicious lunch or dinner at Pano e Vino. Just get off the race track and enjoy the exhibitions. You'll... More

Closed every Monday so plan your visit. Nice Museum located across street from VBCC and just down from Embassy suites. The grandchildren loved the geese and birds in the Park located in front of the museum. can walk there from hotel.

The museum is small and well-designed. The permanent and temporary collections were high quality. My favorites were the Italian sculpture made of sterling silver and a sampling from Barry Goldwater's photography collection. Admission was $10 for adults when I visited; for me, it was a worthwhile value. The entrance is on Church Street not the side street entrance that appears... More

Not very large. Less than an hour to see it all. A couple interesting exhibits. Nice collection of silver.

This was a lovely experience. The museum had some folk art exhibits and also fashion. The real draw was the intricate silver work and collection of father and son paintings. We enjoyed the museum in the morning and lunched at the attached restaurant outside for lunch, overlooking the park. It was a pre mother's day experience and one that was very... More

We drove 1 1/2 hours to Huntsville to catch the traveling Tsars' Cabinet: Two Hundred Years of Russian Decorative Arts Under the Romanovs (ends 1/3/16). There was a charge of $12 ( $10 for seniors) to enter the museum; I think this is just for special events, but you could not see anything without paying. The decorative art is grouped... More

Exhibits change somewhat regularly but are lackluster so I recently have resorted to buying a membership in Chattanooga's Hunter Museum and using it to get in here free even though I live here. Recently they chose to not allow us to get in with a reciprocal when they did have anice exhibit. Poor form.
