This is a real gem and is not on the main mountain, this beauty is on the 'other' mountain 'Roundtop' Mountain. Feel free to learn more about his best kept secret above Huntsville, Alabama and you will have found a real treasure... There's a ton to do with kids, they have a home-school program, and Dr. Burritt's story itself is... More

The house is only interesting in that the footprint is an X. The grounds have a restored village, which by itself is not interesting.

Nice views from this mountain top. Really serene. Also attended a reception in the banquet hall offered. Really neat place to have something like that.

We visited during the late summer and it was beautiful. The house, grounds, surrounding village; all of it was worth the trip to see. Economical entrance fee, too. Lots of things for young children to do while parents enjoy the sights.

We're new to HSV area and this was one of our first places to visit and join. It's a beautiful and peaceful place to escape the city and it's not far at all. They offer endless activities throughout the year. It's a Huntsville gem!!

A beautiful mountain top location and a number of well preserved historic structures was a surprise to find. Really interesting spot with some fabulous rental facilities.

We attended a wedding here and it was one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever been to. The view of the city from the venue is phenomenal. Everything was so lovely. It's a steep drive up and down though.

My wife and I went to Huntsville recently to meet some friends and wanted to do something else before they arrived. We found Burritt on the Mountain. What a pleasant and interesting place to visit. The day we went there was a gentle breeze blowing that made it cool and delightful while we roamed the grounds. The view overlooking the... More

Views are beautiful from there. Kids had a great time. They had the whimsical forest and we made crafts, panned for gold and visited the old homes on the site. Great for photos.
