Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a championship golf course, new beach pavilion, rental cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, hiking trails, Zip Line, and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

We were here on a Thursday afternoon in May. There was a yellow caution flag up, but the surf was really rough. We did not see any life guards on duty, and the beach needed to be cleaned of debris, but it was still uncrowded...More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Unfortunately, when the water is rough, the surf brings in many things such as trash and debris. I assure you we work every day to remove those items from the beach. We hope you enjoyed...More

The Gulf Shores had beautiful sugar sand and just enough waves to keep alk agreed busy. Even during Memorial Day Weekend the crowd was doable. Plenty of room for multiple sand castles.

The park is well kept with good access to the beach which was clean. I was impressed with the walkway across the wetland.

The Gulf State Park is a must see. My family has enjoyed coming here for years. We sit under the pier so we don't have to drag an umbrella or covering. It's a cool spot for elderly family members.

The beach is less crowded by far as compared to private condos. We had a great time looking around and the walking trails are fantastic.

This park is awesome!! I loved it so much I want to come back every year!! There is a lot to do at the park and close by. If you have a camper or tent I definitely recommend. Bathrooms were very well kept.

Some of the nicest beaches around, beautiful sand, long stretches of undeveloped beach (much like the Outer Banks island of Ocracoke).

No, unfortunately neither Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, or Fort Morgan allow overnight camping on the beach. We do, however, have lakeside campsites in our campground

Is the sofa in the 3 bedroom cottage, a sleeper sofa? And if so, are sheets, cover, pillows provided? Also, for a week stay, how many towels are provided?

Whitley, Our 3 bedroom cottages only have 3 beds. The sofa is not a sleeper sofa, however, you are allowed to bring air mattresses, blankets, etc and sleep up to 10 people in each cottage. Hope this information helps!
