Gulf State Park's two miles of beaches greet you with plenty of white sun-kissed sand, surging surf, seagulls and sea shells, but there is more than sand and surf to sink your toes into. Inside Gulf State Park there is a championship golf course, new beach pavilion, rental cottages, tennis courts, camp sites, hiking trails, Zip Line, and a fishing pier that is 20-feet wide and extends 1,512 feet into the Gulf. This and much more make Gulf State Park the perfect in-state vacation or out-of-state adventure.

What a great park. Sad I haven’t stopped on earlier trips to gulf shores. Easy walks on wooden walkways. Great views that made me appreciate so much more than the beach. An absolute must see even if only for 30 minutes to an hour to...More

This was our second year to camp at Gulf State Park. The trails are excellent, mostly paved or boardwalks. Lots of organized activities.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the trails in this park for biking. There are lots of places to stop and rest or just enjoy nature. Lefty, the alligator is one attraction! The campground looks really nice and they have great facilities. If you are in the...More

We loved the boardwalks. A nice pretty walk. But the boardwalks quickly became a high-speed bike and Segue track. No one stays in their "lane". Nothing relaxing about that. DO NOT let a small child on this this until it's safer.

Gulf State Park is amazing. The Refuge golf course and driving range is wonderful. But there is so much more to discover in this park. We look forward to visiting many more times. The plans for the future are tremendous.

These are some of the most beautiful, white sandy beaches anywhere! There is ample parking here with many walking paths to explore. This is a great place to spend some relaxing time and enjoy the Gulf seashore. Restrooms are available on site.

Nice place to visit. Sand is pure white. Has a nice boardwalk system. It also has a small dog park. And it has walking and biking paths.

One of the cleanest beaches we have been to, including the East & West Coast, other Gulf locations, and Cancun. I think they just finished parking access construction before the "season" starts. I would be curious to see how clean it stays during the height...More

Beautiful campground, gorgeous beach, superb hiking and biking trails! And they are building more! Thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here and will be back! Our highlight was viewing all of the wildlife and birds - especially the otters!

Thanks for the great review! I have to admit I am a little jealous you got to see the otters :) :) Kidding! They stay pretty hidden so it's wonderful you got to see them!

we rode through the campground but are not staying there. I have a map, and the primitive group site is very close to the bath houses. There seem to be quite a few bath houses sprinkled throygh the campground..
